We would like to hear your views on services for adults who are Autistic or have Mental Health Needs

Overview

North Northamptonshire Council (NNC) are currently recommissioning services in partnership with the Northamptonshire Integrated Care Board (ICB) for adults aged 18 and over.

Commissioners are seeking views from local residents, families/carers and professionals  in relation to accommodation and support services for individuals with Mental Health Needs and those who are Autistic.

We are particularly keen to hear from individuals who are supported within a supported accommodation or supported living setting.

Understanding individuals’ experiences is essential to the future design and delivery of the ‘right’ services for local residents.

Care and Support should be centred around outcomes rather than tasks. Where individuals:

• gain increased confidence, ability and opportunity in life skills and manage life well within the community.

• experience stability in their mental health, the necessary skills for self-management/self-knowledge and a commensurate improved quality of life. 

• have a greater sense of wellbeing and have benefit from improved physical as well as mental health.
