Corby Station, Oakley Road CCTV – new cameras
Overview
Due to an increase of anti-social behaviour in the area, North Northamptonshire Council (NNC) is taking proactive measures to ensure the safety and security of residents, visitors, our staff and volunteers.
We are proposing the installation of fully functional closed-circuit cameras (CCTV) in Corby at the Oakley Road / Burghley Drive corner and in the pedestrian/ cycle path tunnels on Oakley Road. For increased security, all cameras will be monitored by staff in a secure location.
The proposed CCTV cameras are part of the wider Town Centre to Train Station Link road project.
The new link road will look to improve the public areas and provide an attractive and safe pedestrian/cycle connections. The proposed CCTV cameras are part of a package of additional works, which the council are looking to implement following comments during the public consultation for the project.
You can view the proposed locations of the CCTV cameras on the following maps: Overview Map, Map 1 - Oakley Road/ Burghley Drive, Corby and Map 2 - Oakley Road/ Corby Station, Corby.
You can share your feedback on the inclusion and positioning of the proposed CCTV cameras by answering a few short questions via the survey link below. Alternatively you can respond via email or post:
