A509 Isham Bypass Scheme Community Consultation

Closes 26 Aug 2022

Opened 15 Jul 2022

Consultation for the A509 Isham Bypass scheme will open on Friday 15 July and members of the community are invited to have their say and provide feedback to inform the current planning process.

The Isham Bypass scheme is for a proposed dual carriageway, commencing from the Symmetry Park roundabout, running in a southerly direction west of the village of Isham, and re-joining the A509 Kettering Road midway between Hill Top and Great Harrowden.

The Bypass will reduce congestion on the A509, improve transport links between Kettering and Wellingborough by helping to meet the needs of growth in the two towns, improve access from Wellingborough to the A14, and relieve some through traffic.

The consultation period will be open from Friday 15 July 2022 and will close at 11.59pm on Friday 26 August 2022.

Several in-person consultation sessions are being held at:

  • Kettering markets - Friday 15 July from 9am to 4pm
  • Isham Village Hall - Thursday 21 July from 10am to 7pm
  • Wellingborough Town Centre - Saturday 20 August from 9am to 4pm

One online session on MS Teams is also scheduled:

  • Wednesday 10 August from 6pm to 8pm (Registration for this event closed at 4pm Tuesday 9 August).

If you are unable to make these consultation sessions you can provide feedback online.

You can find more info about the scheme, attend online consultations and complete the questionnaire in the virtual consultation room via the below web link.
