Do you have flood resilience measures installed in your home?
Overview
As part of the Ox-Cam Pathfinder Project, North Northamptonshire Council, in partnership with 8 local authorities, would like to know about the flood resilience measures installed in homes across the Oxford-Cambridge Arc (Ox-Cam) region.
The Ox-Cam Property Flood Resilience (PFR) Pathfinder Project aims to find new and innovative ways of embedding flood resilience into properties (both homes and businesses) and help raise the understanding of property flood resilience across the Oxford-Cambridge Arc (Ox-Cam) region.
The project is funded by the Environment Agency and led by North Northamptonshire Council.
What is Property Flood Resilience (PFR)?
Flood ‘resilience’ refers to measures that reduce flood damage to buildings in situations where water is allowed to enter.
Resilience measures are aimed at allowing a building to flood, but constructing the interior from materials that are not damaged by water. These resilience measures are designed to reduce the amount of damage caused when water enters a building.

Who can take part in this survey?
This survey is aimed at individuals who own a property, or properties, (owner-occupiers and landlords) within the Oxford-Cambridge Arc (Ox-Cam) region that already have property flood resilience measures installed.
The Oxford-Cambridge Arc includes:
- Bedfordshire
- Buckinghamshire
- Cambridgeshire
- Northamptonshire
- Oxfordshire
- Peterborough
The survey includes questions about the property and the flood resilience measures installed.
Feedback from this survey will be used by local authorities and the Environment Agency to help understand the level and location of property flood resilience measures in the Ox-Cam region.
This survey will run from Thursday 12 August to midnight on Friday 3 September 2021.
If you have any questions or enquiries about the survey, please contact Alan Ryan, Ox-Cam PFR Pathfinder Project Manager, via email at alan.ryan@northnorthants.gov.uk or by phone on 07880 135803.
The data you provide will be shared with Ox-Cam project partners, the Environment Agency and DEFRA solely for the use for this aspect of the project. The data will be used to help the local authorities and the Environment Agency understand the level of property flood resilience measures in the Ox-Cam region and where they are. Information collected will only be shared with those working on this project and for this reason.
After the project has been completed, all recorded data will be managed according to General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and data protection principles.
