Public Spaces Protection Order Extension - Surrey Close - Consultation 2022

Closed 4 Apr 2022

Opened 7 Mar 2022

Overview

A Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) is a power under the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014, that allows a council to impose restrictions in particular areas to tackle nuisance or problem behaviour, within a defined public area.

North Northamptonshire Council is seeking your views and evidence on whether the PSPO for Surrey Close should be approved.

The PSPO being in place acts as a deterrent to reduce the likelihood of incidents occurring and supports action against those individuals who behave in an unacceptable manner.

Who can take part in this consultation?

This consultation is open for everyone, including residents, elected members, business, public agencies, and voluntary and community organisations.

In particular, we would like to hear the views of residents in and around the PSPO area to let us know whether the PSPO should be granted.

You can see the map and draft of the proposed PSPO below.

What happens next?

Once the consultation is closed all feedback will be analysed and considered.

This consultation will run from Tuesday 1 March to midnight on Tuesday 29 March 2022.

For information about how consultation and engagement responses are managed, please see the consultation and engagement privacy notice.
