Mums-To-Be and New Mums - we want to hear from you

Overview

North Northamptonshire Council (NNC) and West Northamptonshire Council (WNC) in partnership with Northamptonshire Sport are looking to develop services targeted at expectant and new mums to help them stay active during their pregnancy and after giving birth. Being physically active can have many health and wellbeing benefits for women throughout all pregnancy trimesters, through the birth process and post-partum. Therefore, we are conducting research to generate a better understanding of the opinions of residents, so that we can identify the best ways to tailor programmes to local needs.

If you are currently pregnant, a new mum or have children under 5 years, we would be keen to hear your responses to what programmes and services you would have liked to be involved in or still would be, to support your activity levels. This information will help shape our services for new mums like yourself and support others during their pregnancy and after birth. If you have any questions, please contact: activecommunities@northnorthants.gov.uk

Your feedback is extremely important and will help us improve opportunities, facilities, and support so that women feel safe, confident, and welcome when taking part in physical activity. All responses will be used to help shape future sessions and services and will be treated confidentially.

You can share your views via the survey link below.

This survey closes at 23.59 on 28 April 2026.
