Term Dates for North Northamptonshire schools for the 2024-25 academic year

Overview

North Northamptonshire Council is now consulting on proposed term dates for Community and Voluntary Controlled schools for the 2024-25 academic year.

The consultation will run from Monday 28 November 2022 – Saturday 31 December 2022.

Please note that Academies, Free, Foundation and Voluntary Aided schools can set their own term dates, although they may choose to adopt those used by the local authority.

The proposed term dates are as follows:

Autumn term 2024

Monday 2 September to Friday 20 December 2024

• Half term holiday: Monday 28 October to Friday 1 November 2024
• Christmas holiday: Monday 23 December 2024 to Friday 3 January 2025 

Spring term 2025

Monday 6 January to Friday 4 April 2025

• Half term holiday: Monday 17 February to Friday 21 February 2025
• Easter holiday: Monday 7 April to Thursday 17 April 2025
• Bank holidays: Friday 18 April and Monday 21 April 2025

Summer term 2025

Tuesday 22 April to Tuesday 22 July 2025

• Half term holiday: Monday 26 May to Friday 30 May 2025
• Summer holiday: Wednesday 23 July to Friday 29 August 2025
• Bank holiday: Monday 5 May 2025

The total number of pupil days includes five days to be selected by schools as additional INSET days:

Pupil days: 190 school days

Teacher days: 195 school days
