NNC House to House & Street Collection Policy

Overview

North Northamptonshire Council is now the Unitary Authority for the Licensing functions that were previously carried out by Corby Borough Council, East Northamptonshire Council, Kettering Borough Council and Borough Council of Wellingborough.

The Council is implementing its House to House and Street Collections Policy which is now open for public consultation for a period of 6 weeks.

The purpose of this policy it to detail how the Council will comply with its obligations under the House to House Collections Act 1939 and the House to House Collections Regulations 1947 and the Police, Factories, Etc. (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1916.

The new policy, once adopted, will replace the sovereign authority arrangements.

Once consultation has concluded a final version of the policy will be considered by the Licensing and Appeals Committee.

The consultation period runs from 21^st March 2022 to 29^th April 2022.
