Summary of Proposal

The Kettering Town Council proposal suggested changes to internal ward boundaries, an amendment to the external parish boundary where it borders with Barton Seagrave, a realignment of councillors and changes to town council ward names.

Ise and Pipers Hill Wards

Amendment to the ward boundary near Isebrook School to restore the previous ward boundary along the River Ise whilst retaining connection to Pytchley Road.

Observations

The proposal utilises Pytchley Road as a clearly defined boundary and places Isebrook School in Pipers Hill Ward. No electors would be affected. The proposal would result in a parish ward that is split by an NNC ward boundary.

b) That the boundary be amended as per the map attached at Appendix D.

Reason for recommendation - to promote effective and convenient local governance and maintain community identity and cohesion.
